With two decades of experience facilitating poetry writing workshops Magdalena can help you contact or reconnect with your muse—the voice inside you that wants to create, to nourish your soul, and each other. We meet and write in community to bear witness to, advocate for, and go deeper to the place where poetry heals.

Dr. Jan Knippers Black returns for “Coffee Time” (MIIS Amnesty International)

DATE CHANGE: Wednesday 10 May 2017: Dr. Jan Knippers Black, a professor at MIIS is returning to Old Capitol Books this May! She will discuss in an intimate setting her involvement as a board member of Amnesty International. Her latest book, The Politics of Human Rights Protection will be raffled off for book signing after the event. She also will do book signing for other books that participants bring to the coffee talk. The first 15 people will have guaranteed seating. Standing room is also available.
