Unfortunately, we’ve had to postpone this event. If there’s interest, we’re hold it again later in June!
Come join our regular reading group for a special session featuring seniors at CSU Monterey studying critical legal philosophy. The normal reading group will be joined by these students for a conversation exploring the works of Michel Foucault, Achille Mbembe, and Jacques Derrida.
These are all philosophers that we have read before, but we’re excited to see what connections and ideas emerge when we explore them together.
These reading groups are designed to take theory and philosophy out of the ivory tower and bring these conversations back into the community. Readings are posted for free on the Old Capitol Books website, and in the comments below. No prior knowledge of theory and philosophy is required, and we believe that everyone can contribute to these important conversations.
Free and open to everyone.
