James Dorsey, true storytelling of travel adventures

James Dorsey, author of Baboons for Lunch, will be in Old Capitol Books telling stories of his travels, adventures, and the people he met along the way.

When: 14 July 2018, 4pm
Where: Old Capitol Books, 559 Tyler Street, downtown Monterey

Baboons for Lunch is a rollicking collection of 28 stories told by a true explorer who has visited the most remote places on earth. You will climb a volcano in Ethiopia while under fire, cross the Sahara desert with nomads, have conversations with witch doctors, and be used as bait during a baboon hunt.

James Michael Dorsey has spent two decades taking his readers along to learn about vanishing societies that otherwise would have passed their time one earth with few people knowing of their existence. Hopefully these stories will make you laugh and cry, educate and entertain, and ultimately, reveal to the reader that no matter where you live or the color of your skin, we are all the same inside.
