Tuesday 10 November 2015, 6-8pm: Our free monthly event open to the public every second Tuesday: NETWORKING ALOUD: A WRITERS OPEN MIKE. Come early & sign up for a five to seven minute reading from any genre: prose, screenplay, poetry & essay that follows 15 minutes from a featured published reader. We applaud one another, no critique allowed. Bring your work in progress, we want to hear your VOICE.

Networking AloudOn November 10th we will hear from Debra Smith, who’s pseudonym for her books is dj jameson smith. Debra is a writer, blogger, photographer and artist. She has published a fantasy series, Secrets Beyond Scymaria, (pronounced Simar-e-a) with three books—all available through Amazon.com, with the third book available this fall. She will be reading from her first book, where readers are drawn into the drama of troublesome middle school classmates, dealings with a sinister professor, and a new-found friendship with a most unusual creature. This new friend happens to be the guardian for a portal to another world. Their adventures begin to unfold here on earth, first by trying to escape the professor—taking refuge in a strange hiding place, then they and their families send him on a merry chase as the professor tries to discover who this new friend might be.
