Saturday January 31st 2015, 12pm-2pm: Come down to Old Capitol Books to meet local children’s book author Kristen Comello and hear her read from her book, The Castle Church.
Kristen Comello has crafted a simple tale based on her son’s experiences at San Carlos Cathedral, here in Monterey. The illustrations by Comello’s grandmother, Jeri Lochmann, match the child-like aesthetic of the story itself.
About the author:
Kristen Comello was born in Cressey, CA and now works as a dental hygenist in Monterey. She is the author of two other children’s books, God’s Tooth Fairies and Brushing Teeth Throughout the Year.
