This love story and cookbook is lavishly illustrated with full color photographs of the meals and food Shelly has prepared for his sweetheart and wife of more than 30 years, Alice Kinsler. It’s also about home, lifestyle, healthy eating and a respectful loving relationship shown through photographs of their home and garden. Shelly and Alice owned Kitchen, a Carmel Valley Village restaurant from 1975-1988, Shelly wrote the column, Peninsula Food Gardening, for The Monterey Herald from 1986-1995. He has worked as an edible landscape consultant for his business, Edible Landscapes, since 1986.
