Edward Jarvis was born in the San Joaquin Valley and raised on a ranch east of Tulare. His interest in literature began when he was sixteen years old upon reading the first sentence of Sean O’Casey’s autobiography which is three pages long. He has published in numerous literary magazines and his book of poetry, Palimpsest, was published in 2001. He holds degrees in the humanities and chiropractic, the latter he practices in Pacific Grove
 
Ayaz Pirani was born in Musoma, Tanzania. His degree is from Vermont College of Fine Arts, where Ayaz was a student of the late Jack Myers. His first book, Happy You Are Here, was published in 2016 and his poem ‘African Masks’ was recently featured in Poem in Your Pocket Day by the Academy of American Poets.
