His self-published book “Dogging Steinbeck” is a traditional American road book. “My book is an expose of the fictions and lies that Steinbeck and his editors put into “Travels With Charley.” [My book is] not sold at the National Steinbeck Center for obvious reasons.”

Ethan Casey (ethancasey.com) covered Asia for newspapers including the Boston Globe and The Globe and Mail of Toronto and now speaks about Pakistan and Haiti at major universities and other venues. His web site is ethancasey.com His book “Home Free” will be published in the fall.

Bill and Ethan will speak, answer questions and sell and sign their new books at Old Capitol Books.

— Nick Gillespie at Reason.com said no book he read in 2012 gave him a bigger kick
than “Dogging Steinbeck.”

— In his review in the Weekly Standard Shawn Macomber called it an “idol-slaying
travelogue of truth.”

— Brian Lamb of C-SPAN liked it. So did travel master Paul Theroux and super
journalist James Fallows.
