Jernegan (1911-1981) who retired to Carmel Valley in the late 1960’s with his wife Mary. Books on the subjects of diplomacy, cooking, Middle East history, and unusual Italian Touring Club books from the 1950’s, among others. During his career he was stationed in Mexico, San Diego, Washington D.C., Tunis, Atlanta, New York, London, Rome, Baghdad, Tangier, and other locations I have yet to discover.
